‘We know who leaked’ Aurora ICE raid to Tren de Aragua, Border Czar Tom Homan says

By Anna Giaritelli | Washington Examiner White House border czar Tom Homan said the Trump administration has uncovered who was behind a leak that sabotaged what was supposed to be a significant raid by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement targeting Tren de Aragua gang members in Aurora, Colorado. Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Homan Tuesday evening if the White House had made progress in its search for who tipped off the Venezuelan gang before ICE arrived on the scene on Feb. 5. “Yes, made progress. We know who leaked the Aurora, Colorado, operation that is under investigation as we speak,” Homan said. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER

Press, protesters, and politicians thwart ICE raids in Colorado. Homan promises to come back harder

By Tracy Wolfer Osborne | National Review ICE raids in Colorado were thwarted last week by media leaks. A massive raid targeting over 100 Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members last week ended with only 30 arrests, and of those only one was TdA, as reported on X by Fox News' Bill Melugin, who was embedded in a pre-dawn raid at the now-infamous Edge Apartments in Lowry, Colo. A local news source, Denverite, documented the raid from inside the apartment complex where they stayed the night. It’s unclear how the media organization knew of the raids beforehand. Aurora City Council Member: Leaks Interfered with Immigration Raids

By Hannah Knudsen | Breitbart Leaks have interfered with the work of border czar Tom Homan, Aurora City Council Member Danielle Jurinsky said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily. Jurinsky is the councilwoman who blew the lid off the violent gang activity of Tren de Aragua in her city, despite constant smears against her and denials from officials. But, she was proven to be right, and now, Homan is on the case. While there have been arrests, however, some of the operations have been delayed or thwarted due to leaks, she revealed. “I heard it was over 100 people arrested,” host Mike Slater said. “But then I heard that it was leaked beforehand, and they went, they knocked on some doors, and they were empty.” READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

Their efforts have led to the arrest of more than 90 people over the past 16 days. DEA RMFD said on social media that at least three of those arrested were part of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA). The 10 suspects whose photos were provided are some of the most serious criminals arrested, but a DEA spokesperson said there are worse offenders in the remaining 80-some suspects. Trump ‘border czar’ Homan vows to probe leak that stifled ICE raid in Colorado

By Bailee Hill | Fox News Border czar Tom Homan issued a warning after a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid was leaked this week, greatly reducing the number of violent Venezuelan gang members authorities were able to arrest.  Homan said he will be addressing the leak stemming from Wednesday's operation in Aurora, Colorado, "immediately" during "The Faulkner Focus," making it clear anyone who stifles the agency's ability to get dangerous criminals off the streets will be held accountable.  "We're not going to tolerate it anymore. This is not a game," Homan told Harris Faulkner on Thursday.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

‘More like this, please,’: Governor, lawmakers respond to DEA raid in Adams County

By Heather Willard | KDVR-TV Fox 31 News Federal law enforcement agencies, joined by local partners, raided what the Drug Enforcement Agency called a “makeshift nightclub” in Adams County on Sunday, resulting in 49 people arrested. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement took 41 of those arrested into custody, alleging they were in the U.S. illegally. The raid was the result of a months-long investigation by the DEA’s Rocky Mountain Field Division. The RMFD has been investigating drug trafficking by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua since “last summer,” according to DEA RMFD Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Pullen. The DEA RMFD said the party at the nightclub was “invite-only,” which Pullen said is only set up on certain weekends and is “invitation-only to members of TdA and th...

Aurora officials to close troubled ‘The Edge’ apartments where TdA problems began

By Tori Mason | CBS Colorado The City of Aurora is moving forward with plans to close The Edge at Lowry apartment complex at 12th and Dallas. Last week, a municipal judge granted an emergency order to close the complex. The property has been deemed a criminal nuisance due to persistent violent incidents. The emergency order says the complex is an "immediate threat to public safety." Aurora City Attorney Pete Schulte says a full closure of the property is expected by mid-February. Schulte says the closure timeline has been in the works since early December, giving nonprofit organizations and local agencies time to prepare support for affected tenants.  READ THE FULL STORY AT CBS COLORADO

Aurora’s mayor questions why Tren de Aragua impacts have been felt less in Denver

By Heather Willard | Fox 31 News At the same time that the ACLU of Colorado is investigating the Aurora Police Department’s cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Aurora’s mayor is asking Denver’s mayor for clarity on how and why the migrant population spread to Aurora. Specifically, Mayor Mike Coffman wants to know why the ongoing Tren de Aragua gang activity has been largely tied to Aurora when busloads of migrants were sent to Denver from Texas last year. Denver reported over 42,000 migrants, mainly from Central and South America, were sheltered by the city between Jan. 2023 and July 2024. How Venezuela’s TdA gang used tactics seen in Aurora to seize a building in San Antonio, Texas

By Nicole C. Brambila | Denver Gazette The Venezuelan gang that infiltrated and terrorized tenants at three apartment complexes in Aurora used similar tactics to seize control of a San Antonio apartment complex, highlighting the increasingly disparate strategies employed by police in these cities. In both instances, Tren de Aragua (TdA) appeared to have gained a foothold in buildings largely occupied by Venezuelan nationals who arrived in both cities after illegally crossing the southern border. Law enforcement in San Antonio responded to the gang’s presence with handcuffs, while Aurora police countered with eviction notices. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE GAZETTE
