Ex-Presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy declares candidacy for Ohio governor

By James Lynch | National Review Former GOP presidential candidate and biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy officially announced Monday afternoon his candidacy for Ohio’s gubernatorial seat. Ramaswamy, 39, jumped into the GOP primary to replace outgoing Governor Mike DeWine whose term ends in 2026. A Cincinnati native, Ramaswamy will be up against GOP state Attorney General Dave Yost and enters the race as the frontrunner. A poll first reported by Axios last month found Ramaswamy receiving over 50 percent in a GOP primary poll, giving him a 34 point lead on his nearest rival. Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio’s firm, Fabrizio, Lee, and associates took the poll ahead of Ramaswamy’s expected announcement. READ THE FULL STORY AT NATIONAL REVIEW

DOGE co-head Vivek Ramaswamy being pushed by Trump to fill Vance’s Senate seat

By Cami Mondeaux, Mabinty Quarshie and David Sivak | Washington Examiner President-elect Donald Trump is quietly pushing entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy to fill the Senate seat vacated by Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, three sources familiar with the matter confirmed to the Washington Examiner.  Ramaswamy previously took himself out of the running for the position last year after Trump and Vance won the November election, instead accepting a position from the president-elect to co-lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency. However, Ramaswamy’s name has been floated as a contender in recent days and is in advanced conversations, sources told the Washington Post.  Vance resigned from his seat Friday ahead of his swearing-in Monday. Here’s what’s in the spending bill that’s drawing the ire of Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy

By Morgan Phillips | Fox News Congressional leadership unveiled legislation Wednesday to punt the government funding deadline down the road, but that bill was pronounced dead only hours after it was revealed.  It led to the intervention of Trump-allied conservatives like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, with Musk threatening to support a primary challenge to any Republican member of Congress who voted for the bill.  It even prompted President-elect Trump to say he is "totally against" the legislation and insist any spending deal raise the debt ceiling before he gets into office, saving his administration the headache of doing so.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

‘Accountability is coming’: Joni Ernst sends Musk’s DOGE ‘a trillion dollars’ worth of ideas to gut gov’t spending

By Harold Hutchison | Daily Caller Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa sent Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) co-chairs Tesla CEO Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy a letter Monday with ideas for cuts that could save the federal government over $2 trillion. Trump named Musk and Ramaswamy as co-chairs of DOGE on Nov. 12. In the seven-page letter, Ernst’s suggestions ranged from addressing unused space in buildings to uncommitted spending for COVID relief, with the proposed cuts totaling over $2 trillion. Ernst has focused on government waste since her election to the United States Senate in 2014, with a recent focus on the effects of telework and remote work on federal agencies. MTG to Chair DOGE Subcommittee to Work with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy

Musk and Ramaswamy were tasked by Trump to lead DOGE to displace the power of the federal bureaucracy and return it to the “people we elect [to] run the government,” Musk and Ramaswamy outlined Wednesday in a Wall Street Journal op-ed. The DOGE subcommittee is likely to be the conduit for House investigations to aid the department’s work. READ ...

Musk and Ramaswamy: The DOGE plan to reform government

By Elon Musk and  Vivek Ramaswamy | Commentary, The Wall Street Journal Our nation was founded on the basic idea that the people we elect run the government. That isn’t how America functions today. Most legal edicts aren’t laws enacted by Congress but “rules and regulations” promulgated by unelected bureaucrats—tens of thousands of them each year. Most government enforcement decisions and discretionary expenditures aren’t made by the democratically elected president or even his political appointees but by millions of unelected, unappointed civil servants within government agencies who view themselves as immune from firing thanks to civil-service protections. This is antidemocratic and antithetical to the Founders’ vision. It imposes massive direct and indirect costs on taxpayers. Th...

Musk and Ramaswamy’s DOGE opens hiring on X

By Eric Revell  | Fox Business The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which President-elect Trump put Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in charge of, announced on Thursday that it is opening up hiring to interested candidates. DOGE wrote in a post on Musk-owned X that those who want to work on its cost-cutting push should send their résumés via direct message on X. To send a DM to the DOGE account, users are currently required to be verified, which entails at least an $8-per-month premium X subscription. "We are very grateful to the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us at DOGE. We don't need more part-time idea generators. We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous c...

Vivek Ramaswamy swarmed by anti-Israel protesters — and ‘Crackhead Barney’ — just blocks from DNC

By Josh Christensen | New York Post Anti-Israel protesters swarmed former GOP presidential primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as he crossed Union Park in Chicago, just blocks from the DNC. “Racist go home! Racist go home!” the demonstrators shouted at Ramaswamy as his security detail formed a bubble of protection around him. “Why are you a genocidal warmonger?” she cried. The internet personality has made headlines for harassing Alec Baldwin in an anti-Israel temper tantrum at a coffee shop in the Big Apple — and later hamming it up on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” about the incident.
