Just hours after multiple outlets reported that Mike Waltz was preparing to leave his position in President Donald Trump’s administration — as National Security Adviser — Trump announced that the former Florida Congressman and Green Beret veteran was being appointed to represent the United States at the United Nations.
“I am pleased to announce that I will be nominating Mike Waltz to be the next United States Ambassador to the United Nations.
