By Kristina Wong | Breitbart Pete Hegseth’s ex-wife has disputed claims made by an estranged ex-sister-in-law she was abused during their marriage — a fact being downplayed by the mainstream news media and Democrats in a last-ditch effort to tank Hegseth’s confirmation as defense secretary. Samantha Deering, Hegseth’s ex-wife, said in an email to NBC News, who first reported the ex-sister-in-law’s claims: “I do not believe your information to be accurate, and I have cc’d my lawyer.” She added, “There was no physical abuse in my marriage. This is the only further statement I will make to you, I have let you know that I am not speaking and will not speak on my marriage to Pete. Please respect this decision.” READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

Trump plans to shift school funding control to local communities, has yet to pick DOE secretary

By Jamie Joseph  | Fox News President-Elect Donald Trump has proposed a dramatic shakeup in American education: "disbanding" or drastically reducing the power of the Department of Education (DOE), a move that would shift control and funding of public schools back to local communities. While Trump's specific plan and choice of secretary have yet to be announced, Neal McCluskey, the director for educational freedom at libertarian think tank Cato Institute, said there's a high likelihood Trump's agenda of shuttering the DOE could be carried out through "block granting." "Block granting is a little easier for people to understand, because it takes money and it doesn't just suddenly go away from states and districts, it keeps it," McCluskey told Fox News Digital in an in...

John Ratcliffe, a former congressman and director of intelligence, chosen as Trump’s pick to lead CIA

By Rebecca Beitsch | The Hill President-elect Trump announced Tuesday that he will nominate John Ratcliffe, his former head of national intelligence, to lead the CIA. Trump nominates Fox News host, veteran Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense

With Pete at the helm, America’s enemies are on notice – Our Military will be Great Again, and America will Never Back Down.” The choice of Hegseth is an unorthodox pick from a field of contenders that included Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), who earned favor in military circles for working closely with the Pentagon on defense legislation; House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Ala.); and former Rep.
