Anti-Israel protesters disrupt Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but Ronald McDonald marches on

By Stephen Sorace  | Fox News Anti-Israel protesters with "Free Palestine" signs and banners descended on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday, with police removing those who attempted to block the parade route. One group of protesters held Palestinian flags and unfurled a banner that read, "Don’t celebrate genocide!" in the middle of the street as the parade led by the Ronald McDonald balloon was coming down W. 55th Street and Sixth Avenue. Photos show NYPD officers breaking up the demonstration and detaining multiple protesters so that the parade could continue unobstructed. With this incoming winter storm, flights will likely be impacted. Flights are usually delayed due to snow, strong winds, fog, and thunderstorms. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, 26% of delayed flights from September of 2023 to August of 2024 were due to weather. Philanthropic drives are underway, encouraging community support to help feed the masses to celebrate the American holiday of giving thanks. Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, the region’s primary supplier of emergency food distributed at 289 area pantries, soup kitchens and other charitable centers, is holding its annual “Take a Turkey to Work Day” on Friday, Nov. 22.
