CDC defies RFK Jr and Trump in key vaccine maneuver

By  SADIE WHITELOCKS | Daily Mail The CDC appeared to defy President Donald Trump's will by taking part in a vaccine meeting with the World Health Organization this week.  Under executive orders, the CDC was banned from communicating from WHO as the US started its withdrawal from the global health agency.   Trump cited the UN agency's failings during Covid close ties to China as reasons for pulling the US out of the WHO. Senate Finance Committee advances RFK Jr. nomination for HHS secretary

By Josh Christenson | New York Post The Senate Finance Committee voted Tuesday to advance the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) after a pair of contentious hearings last week. All 14 Republicans on the panel — including Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and Senate Majority Whip John Barasso (R-Wyo.) — voted to support President Trump’s pick of Kennedy, with all 13 Democrats opposed. Kennedy, 71, is expected to be considered by the full Senate sometime next week, and would clinch confirmation so long as no more than three Republicans vote against him. Democrat critics of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the big pharma, healthcare dole for millions of dollars

By Sean Moran | Breitbart During Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation hearing on Wednesday, Senate Democrats criticized the healthcare nominee for chasing money and influence, while they have received millions of dollars from the healthcare industry. Sen. Ron Wyden said that Kennedy, who Trump nominated to be his Health and Human Services Department Secretary, is “someone who chases money and influence wherever they lead, even if that may mean the tragic death of children and other vulnerable people.” Although Wyden attacked Kennedy for allegedly chasing “money and influence,” it appears that Wyden has raised significant sums from the healthcare industry, which has a vested stake in the potential confirmation of Kennedy. RFK Jr. faces mounting criticism leading up to confirmation hearing

By Nathaniel Weixel | The Hill Pressure is mounting on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as critics squeeze senators from both sides of the aisle to oppose President Trump’s pick to be the nation’s top health official.  Kennedy’s bipartisan opponents, including liberal advocates and an organization founded by former Vice President Mike Pence, argue the nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services isn’t fit to serve as secretary.   Liberals point to Kennedy’s longtime advocacy against vaccines and his role as the founder of the prominent anti-vaccine organization Children’s Health Defense.   READ THE FULL STORY AT THE HILL

RFK, Jr., could do what Michelle Obama actually promised: Healthy lunches for low-income students

By  Dr. Naydeen González De Jesús | Daily Wire On February 9, 2010, Michelle Obama unveiled her ambitious initiative to combat childhood obesity through her “Let’s Move!” campaign, aiming to empower children and reduce obesity rates. The CDC reports that 1 in 5 children in the U.S. suffer from obesity which prompted President Obama to pass the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. This law aimed to promote healthier diets with mandated minimum servings of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains while limiting sugar, fat, and sodium. However, the program fell short of its goals and inadvertently exacerbated the problems it sought to address. The focus of her campaign was not only to ensure that our nation’s children are being fed but also fed healthy food throug...

Justice: The New York Times fact-checks itself in fumbled fact check of RFK Froot Loops claims

By Tristan Justice | Commentary, The Federalist The New York Times was mocked online for having proved the point the paper was trying to discredit. The New York Times fact-checked itself in an embarrassing attempt to fact-check President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Robert F. Kennedy Jr. In an article published Friday on Kennedy’s crusade to regulate the food industry, the paper inadvertently contradicted its own criticism of a claim by Kennedy related to a popular cereal marketed to children. CNN panelist says Trump’s UFC entourage looked like ‘ancient Rome,’ surrounded by ‘political gladiators’

By Hailey Gomez | Daily Caller The Bulwark national political reporter Marc Caputo said Sunday on CNN that President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks look like “ancient Rome,” comparing it to being surrounded by “political gladiators.” Over the course of the past week, Trump has revealed his picks for top positions within his Cabinet, with Democrats reacting to some of them in extreme measures. On “Inside Politics with Manu Raju,” CNN political analyst Astead Herndon said that Trump’s nominations have not only forced Republicans to choose where their allegiance lies, but also noted how the nominees have become stars, making their first appearance at UFC 309 in New York City on Saturday evening. “He’s flood the zone with these picks and forced Republicans to choose. I think it’s ...
