U.S. Sen. Rand Paul’s ‘festivus’ report highlights more than $1 trillion in federal waste

By Hannah Knudsen | Breitbart The federal government wasted millions of taxpayer dollars on a number of absurd and bizarre projects, including securing the Paraguayan border, studies on lonely rats and their relationship to cocaine, and “various magical projects.” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on Monday released his annual Festivus report chock-full of grievances after another year of incredibly wasteful spending. This year, he is highlighting over $1 trillion in government waste. “Who’s to blame for our crushing national debt? Everybody. Rand Paul introduces healthcare freedom legislation

By Sean Moran | Breitbart Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced legislation Thursday aimed at increasing healthcare access and giving Americans more alternatives to Obamacare and employer-sponsored health insurance. “As Americans’ health care costs continue to rise, my plan puts more power in the people’s hands, getting rid of unnecessary restrictions, expanding access, and trusting Americans to make the decisions that are best for them,” Paul, an ophthalmologist, said in a written statement. Paul, who will become the chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee at the beginning of the next congressional term, introduced the Health Marketplace for All Act of 2024 and the Health Savings Accounts for All Act. Rand Paul to target ‘COVID cover-up’ as head of Senate Homeland Security committee

By Rikki Schlott | New York Post Sen. Rand Paul will take over the chairmanship of the upper chamber’s Homeland Security Committee starting in January after two years as the panel’s top Republican — and he’s told The Post he wants to uncover the truth about the COVID-19 pandemic. “I chose to chair this committee over another because I believe that, for the health of our republic, Congress must stand up once again for its constitutional role,” Paul (R-Ky.) said in an exclusive interview Wednesday. “This committee’s mission of oversight and investigations is critical to Congress reasserting itself.” “I think we’re on the cusp of, really, the beginning of uncovering what happened with COVID,” the 61-year-old added. Miltimore: Sen. Rand Paul exposes the ‘Great Covid Cover-up’

By Jon Miltimore | The Foundation for Economic Education In an explosive new op-ed, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) claimed that at least 15 separate federal agencies knew that attempts to create a COVID-19-like coronavirus were being undertaken at the Wuhan Institute of Virology as early as January 2018. Yet, heads of these agencies did not reveal this information to the public; for years, they actively refused to release information on the project to lawmakers such as Paul, who were attempting to provide congressional oversight. “For years, I have been fighting to obtain records from dozens of federal agencies relating to the origins of COVID-19 and the DEFUSE project,” wrote Paul, who in March revealed he was formally launching a bipartisan investigation into the...
