By Colorado Peak Politics The political left’s lemmings with nothing better to do in Denver on Easter weekend protested the Trump administration’s efforts to save critical programs from bankruptcy through the elimination of government waste and fraud. It looks like only the Colorado politicians who recently announced campaigns for governor — U.S. Sen. Nationally, more than 1,200 “Hands Off!” demonstrations took place, organized by more than 150 groups, including civil rights organizations, labor unions, LBGTQ+ advocates, veterans and elections activists. Protesters gather outside ICE in Aurora after immigration activist Jeanette Vizguerra reportedly taken into custody

By Jennifer McRae | CBS Colorado Protesters gathered outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Aurora early Tuesday morning on reports that immigration activist Jeanette Vizguerra was taken into custody. Vizguerra was reportedly taken into custody by federal agents on Monday morning.  Vizguerra has been considered a voice for the immigrant community for more than two decades. Vizguerra came to the United States, without proper documentation to stay, from Mexico City in 1997. Demonstrators outside the ICE facility told CBS News Colorado that Vizguerra was taken into custody by federal agents outside her place of employment on Monday morning. A massive raid targeting over 100 Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members last week ended with only 30 arrests, and of those only one was TdA, as reported on X by Fox News' Bill Melugin, who was embedded in a pre-dawn raid at the now-infamous Edge Apartments in Lowry, Colo. A local news source, Denverite, documented the raid from inside the apartment complex where they stayed the night. It’s unclear how the media organization knew of the raids beforehand.
