By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Ballots addressed to registered voters began hitting the mailstream today in the 64 counties across Colorado. Election Day is Nov. 5. Ballots must be returned before the close of polls at 7 p.m. on Election Night. “Today is the first day that ballots can be mailed to all active voters,” Secretary of State Jena Griswold said in a statement. “I encourage every Coloradan to register to vote or update their registration to make their voice heard in our state and country’s future.” Ballots must be mailed by Friday, Oct. 18, to all active voters. Fact check: Incarcerated felons can’t vote, but upon release they can

By Justin George | The Colorado Sun People convicted of felonies who have served their entire sentences can vote in Colorado. So can people on probation and parole. Those convicted of felonies who are imprisoned or confined to detention as part of their sentence cannot vote. They regain their voting eligibility after they have completed their “full term of imprisonment,” according to the Colorado Secretary of State. “The day you are released from detention or incarceration is the day your eligibility to register to vote is restored,” the office stated on its website. Cooper: Is signature verification of mail-in ballots valid?

By Bob Cooper | Guest Columnist All mail-in voting systems use a process called signature verification to verify the person voting by mail is the voter registered to vote.  In Colorado this process is based on comparing the signature on the outer ballot envelope with the digital signature images in a database called SCORE. This is the only procedure to verify the identity of the voter before that ballot is counted.  Once a signature passes signature verification, the envelope is opened, ballots are sent to be counted and envelopes are stored in a separate container.  The voter is no longer associated with their votes on the ballot.  The process of signature verification varies based on the size of a county but will always follow state statutes.  A key person in...

Fleetwood: Media tacitly admit mail-in balloting is not as secure and reliable as they claim

BY: SHAWN FLEETWOOD | The Federalist Since the chaotic 2020 election and coincident expansion of mail-in balloting, America’s corrupt media have gone full throttle to convince the country that this unsupervised system is 1,000 percent safe and never produces fraud. The same consensus also accuses Americans concerned about the risks associated with mass mail-in voting of being conspiracy theorists and so-called “election deniers.” Within the past week, however, several legacy publications have released stories tacitly admitting that the process is not as secure or reliable as they regularly claim. Voters express concern over mail-in ballots after major postal office delays

By Misty Severi | Washington Examiner Voters have expressed concern over the speed of the United States Postal Service, which has seen significant delays in recent months, as the country prepares for the 2024 presidential election. The voters are largely concerned about the speed of mail-in ballots, and whether they would arrive at their destinations in time to be counted. However, the U.S. Postal Service said it would use “a robust and proven process to ensure proper handling and delivery of all Election Mail, including ballots,” for November. USPS also apologized for the service interruptions and delays seen in the past six months, which have been attributed to a roof collapse, the transition to new processing equipment, and “executional complications ar...

Behind massive mail-in ballot push is a little-noticed Biden executive order

By  Kevin Stocklin | The Epoch Times A federal effort to register voters using the government’s vast reach, including throughout the U.S. prison system, is raising concerns from critics who have said it won’t benefit Democrats and Republicans equally. Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson wrote to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on March 6 alleging that agencies under the attorney general’s charge are “attempting to register people to vote, including potentially ineligible felons, and to co-opt state and local officials into accomplishing this goal.” The allegation relates to President Joe Biden’s Executive Order 14019, which states, “The head of each agency shall evaluate ways in which the agency can, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, promote voter ...
