Trump campaign files FEC complaint to block Biden’s $91M war chest from going to Harris

By Hailey Gomez  | The Daily Signal Former President Donald Trump’s campaign filed a Federal Election Commission complaint Tuesday alleging President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are in violation of campaign finance laws after transferring $91.5 million to Harris’ presidential campaign. The complaint, which was first reported by The New York Times, was filed by Trump’s campaign’s general counsel, David Warrington, and comes after Harris announced her confirmation of delegates to be the Democrat’s new presumptive presidential nominee. “Kamala Harris is seeking to perpetrate a $91.5 million heist of Joe Biden’s leftover campaign cash—a brazen money grab that would constitute the single largest excessive contribution and biggest violat...

GOP lawmaker moves to impeach Kamala Harris over border crisis

By Alicia Warren | Fox Business A GOP lawmaker is planning to hold Kamala Harris "accountable" for her role in the border crisis by filing articles of impeachment against the vice president. Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., joined "Mornings with Maria" on Wednesday to discuss why he’s pushing to impeach Harris as she’s determined to be the Democratic presidential candidate. "We have to hold her accountable and start defining her for her failures," Rep. Ogles said while addressing Harris’ role as Biden’s appointed border czar. "Here’s the thing. We have a crisis at the southern border. We are being invaded. Our kids, our streets are being poisoned by fentanyl. And then crime is running rampant," he stressed. Trump asking for ‘equal time’ on air during Biden’s Oval Office ‘campaign commercial’

By Annabella Rosciglione | Washington Examiner As President Joe Biden gives an Oval Office address to the nation Wednesday, former President Donald Trump is asking ABC, NBC, and CBS to give him equal airtime.  In a letter obtained by the New York Times, Trump’s campaign sent a letter to the three networks demanding he be given equal airtime as the campaign believes the speech will be used as a campaign event. Earlier this week, Biden announced he would address the nation from the White House about his exit from the presidential race and how he plans to tackle the remaining months of his presidency. “It appears that President Biden’s speech will not be a bona fide news event, but rather, a prime-time campaign commercial,” Trump campaign general counsel Davi...

Trump says he will ‘absolutely’ debate Kamala Harris, says he would do ‘more than one’

By HENRY RODGERS | The Daily Caller Former President Donald Trump said he would “absolutely” debate Vice President Kamala Harris, even adding that he would do more than one, while on a press call Tuesday. On a call with reporters, Trump was asked about debating Harris since Biden dropped out of the race, to which Trump said he was not thrilled with ABC News but that he wants to debate Harris, and believes it is important to do so. Harris, who’s running based on a party insider vote with no primary voter approval, said Monday she had secured enough verbal commitments from DNC delegates to clinch her party’s nomination. Three hundred California delegates voted to back Harris on Monday night — all during a private Zoom call. “Absolutely. I’d want to. I think it’s important. I’m not t...

Colorado’s Democratic convention delegates throw support behind Kamala Harris as party’s nominee

By Ernest Luning | Colorado Politics Many of Colorado's leading Democratic elected officials and others who will have a say in picking the party's presidential ticket said Sunday that they support nominating Vice President Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden's historic decision to withdraw from the race less than four months before the November election. Harris drew endorsements from Colorado's governor, both of the state's U.S. senators and all five Democratic members of the state's U.S. House delegation within hours of Biden's announcement even as national Democratic Party officials made clear that replacing Biden at the top of the ticket would not amount to a coronation. Late on Sunday, state Democratic Party chair Shad Murib told Colorado Politics that he voted in favor of...

Joe Biden is out of the race. Here’s what happens to his $96 million campaign fund

By Ross Kohan and Daniel Kuhn | The Street There’s a $96 million question hanging in the air…what happens to the bundle President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign has yet to spend, now that he’s out of the race? Since Vice President Kamala Harris was already on the ticket, she has access to that money. In addition, her campaign already raised more than $50 million in the hours immediately after President Biden backed her to take his place in the race. But Harris doesn’t automatically replace her boss, which means another contender could step in to challenge Harris. If they do, they won’t have access to any of that cash, which essentially means they’ll be starting from zero. There are some exceptions of course, if a member of the Senate or the House takes over for Biden, leftover m...
