Tim Scott launches bid to chair NRSC as GOP seeks to capitalize on new minority gains

By Julia Johnson | Fox News Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., is running to lead the Senate Republican campaign arm in the next election cycle, sharing the announcement exclusively with Fox News Digital. On Friday, Scott launched his bid to lead the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) for the 2026 midterm cycle, after speculation last month that he planned to do so. "Let’s do this! I’m running for NRSC Chair because two years of a Republican agenda is good, but four years of success under Donald J. Trump is even better," he told Fox News Digital in a statement. Trump wins Miami-Dade county by double digits in county’s first GOP Presidential win since 1988

By Brianna Lyman | The Federalist Former President Donald Trump flipped Florida’s Miami-Dade County by approximately 11 points after losing the county in 2020 by roughly 7 points. Florida was called shortly after 8:00 p.m. EST for Trump, with The New York Times (NYT) reporting Trump had an 11-point lead in the county with 95 percent of the reporting in. Miami-Dade, once a Democrat stronghold, also flipped for Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2022 by 11 points. The last Republican presidential candidate to win Miami-Dade was George H. W. Bush in 1988. The $16 million effort to overcome GOP skepticism on early voting in Pennsylvania

By Audrey Fahlberg | National Review Back in April, the Republican State Leadership Committee began featuring high-profile digital and peer-to-peer ads urging Republican voters to embrace mail-in ballots. “If you’re working a double shift or family responsibilities prevent you from voting on Election Day, Joe Biden wins,” Donald Trump Jr. says in one of the 15-second spots. “Pennsylvania, I need you to join the mail-in voting list today.” On the ground here Monday evening, the former president’s eldest son made an in-person plea to Keystone State voters — bank your vote early before Pennsylvania’s October 29 early and vote-by-mail deadline. Don Jr. is one of many high-profile surrogates that a coalition of Republican spending groups — the Sentinel Action Fund, Repub...

GOP panel demands Treasury records on ‘potentially fraudulent’ donations through Democratic fundraising platform

By Josh Christenson | New York Post A Republican-led House committee fired off a letter to the Treasury Department on Friday that demanded access to any Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as part of a new investigation into a Democratic fundraising platform’s “potentially fraudulent” donations. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) wrote to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, asking for all SARs between Jan. 1, 2023, and the present that involve the political action committee ActBlue. The suspicious activities may include “money laundering, counterfeit credit/debit card, credit card or debit card fraud, false statements, wire transfer fraud, or identity theft,” Comer said. House GOP navigates multiple investigations into Trump assassination attempt

By Aubrie Spady | Politco Speaker Mike Johnson quickly moved last month to launch a bipartisan investigation into the assassination attempt against Donald Trump. House conservatives made it clear on Monday that they have their own ideas. Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries each appointed members late last month to a task force that is aimed at identifying failures that led to the shooting and preventing such an incident from happening again. The panel was unanimously approved by House lawmakers, has subpoena power and effectively took over investigations related to the assassination attempt, a way to theoretically prevent multiple unwieldy probes.
