A new study compiled using statistics provided by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and United States Coast Guard and utilized by personal injury lawyers Anidjar & Levine shows Colorado ranks fourth in the nation for dangerous boating. Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson Kara Van Hoose said any type of watercraft, including boats, jet skis, paddle boards and kayaks, should be used responsibly. Three weekend shootings in Commerce City resulted in four deaths

By Heather Willard | Fox 31 News Three violent incidents that led to four deaths were all reported out of Commerce City this weekend, starting Friday at about 8 p.m. Police said none of the events were related, and the locations ranged across the city. Joanna Small, Commerce City Police Department public information officer, said the fact that they are isolated incidents makes the weekend all the more unusual. Small also noted that Commerce City, on average, sees a handful of deadly shootings each year. Man dies after falling from paddleboard at Carter Lake in Larimer County

By Jesse Sarles | CBS Colorado A man who was paddleboarding died over the weekend in Larimer County. It happened on Saturday afternoon on Carter Lake, located west of Berthoud. Officials from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said a witness reported that the man wasn't wearing a life jacket. The witness saw the man fall into the water and said he didn't resurface. Divers first tried to locate him using sonar. Then, a few hours later, first responders searched the area where the man was last seen and found him. The man's identity hasn't been released.
