Citing Elon Musk’s ownership, Denver City Council pulls down Twitter account

By Deborah Grigsby | The Denver Gazette The Denver City Council has deleted its account on X, formerly known as Twitter, blaming what it described as increased political rhetoric surrounding Elon Musk and his newly formed Department of Government Efficiency. City Council President Amanda Sandoval confirmed the account was deleted on Feb. 21. “As long as X is owned by Elon Musk, and he’s an appointee of the president, and he’s bidding on contracts for the federal government, as Council President, I have made the decision that we cannot have City Council be part of that,” Sandoval told The Denver Gazette.   READ THE FULL STORY AT THE DENVER GAZETTE

Tom Homan wants to double ICE footprint in sanctuary cities. Elon Musk is helping him get there

By Audrey Fahlberg | National Review The Department Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) cost-cutting efforts have roiled Washington in recent weeks, but according to President Donald Trump's border czar, Tom Homan, Elon Musk is committed to growing, rather than shrinking, at least one part of the federal government: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). “I talked to Elon Musk yesterday, he's trying to help us hire more agents,” Homan told National Review in a wide-ranging interview on Saturday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Oxon Hill, Md. “I’ve actually talked to him about how to create efficiencies in the recruiting process and the ... Trump, Elon Musk’s DOGE team are doing what Democrats promised ‘for decades,’ press secretary says

By The Fox News Staff White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed Democrats' hypocritical position ahead of DOGE's Social Security audit. Leavitt defended President Donald Trump and Elon Musk's objectives on "Hannity" Monday, pointing out that former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton championed rooting out waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayer dollars. KAROLINE LEAVITT: If you just watched that video, but shut your eyes and listen to the words from those Democrat politicians, you would think you are listening to President Trump, Elon Musk and our entire administration, who are saying the exact same things that Democrat politicians promised the American people they would do for decades. President Trump is just the first president in our lifetimes to actually do it. And no...

Acting head of Social Security quits after clash with DOGE over data

By Greg Wehner  | Fox News The acting head of the Social Security Administration (SSA) quit her job over the weekend after butting heads with the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), over efforts to access certain sensitive government records, according to reports. The Washington Post reported that three people familiar with Michelle King’s departure said on Monday that she stepped down from her position after the disagreement. In response to King’s departure, President Donald Trump reportedly appointed Leland Dudek to lead the agency as the president’s nominee to serve as commissioner of the SSA, Frank Bisignano, is vetted by federal lawmakers. Democrats’ lawfare threatens to sideline Musk and DOGE

By  Margot Cleveland | The Federalist More than a dozen blue states which sued Elon Musk and DOGE on Thursday will push for an injunction against the Trump Administration later this morning. If granted, the temporary restraining order, or TRO, will immediately halt the president and the federal agencies’ ongoing efforts to cut waste, fraud, and the embedded members of the bureaucratic resistance. And unlike the various TROs entered to date in other cases which served merely as paper nuisances, a TRO freezing out Musk and DOGE would be devasting — both to the president’s agenda and our constitutional structure. On Thursday, fourteen states filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk, DOGE (the Department of Government Efficiency), and President Donald Trump in a federal district court in Washin...

DOGE has arrived at the IRS

By Katie Pavlich | Townhall Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency team have arrived at the Internal Revenue Service and Democrats aren't happy about it.  President Donald Trump previewed the move earlier this week from the Oval office.  "The IRS will be looked at like everybody else. Judge won’t halt Trump, Musk federal worker buyout program

By Rebecca Beitsch | The Hill A federal judge declined to further pause a federal government buyout program, enabling the government to forge ahead with its “Fork in the Road” program. U.S. District Court Judge George O’Toole had extended the time frame for federal employees to decide whether to take the unusual offer, which gives employees eight months of pay and benefits if they wish to depart government. In a Wednesday ruling, O’Toole found that the unions who had sued over the directive did not have standing to do so. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE HILL

Musk alleges FEMA reimbursed NYC hotels $59 million for housing illegal immigrants

By Anna Giaritelli | Washington Examiner Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency alleged that the Biden administration spent tens of millions of taxpayer dollars paying for “luxury hotels” in New York City, where thousands of illegal immigrants released into the United States from the southern border were housed. Musk said Monday morning on his social media platform X that his team just uncovered that the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency dispatched $59 million this past week to reimburse New York City for the massive amount of money it spent housing illegal immigrants that traveled to the sanctuary city during the Biden administration. “The @DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK ...
