Joondeph: Along with illegal immigrants, infectious diseases are crossing America’s border

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, American Thinker For the past four years, our national borders have been as porous as a sieve, allowing thousands of illegal aliens to cross into America every day. Few are screened for criminal backgrounds, useful skills, intentions toward America, or infectious diseases. The criminal toll from invading gang members is significant, but not every border crosser is a thief, rapist, pedophile, or murderer. However, everyone crossing the border could be a carrier of an infectious disease -- a walking petri dish of bacteria and other microorganisms that may cause far greater problems than the criminal aliens. Joondeph: It is time for the storm, bringing liberty, freedom and balance to Washington, D.C.

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, American Thinker In my last column, I wrote about the new Independence Day, Jan. 20. This is when a corrupt and tyrannical administration exits Washington, D.C., for Delaware beaches or unwatchable and dying left-wing cable news shows. Such a housecleaning is long overdue. Thanks to former (that has a nice ring to it) President Joe Biden, America has 10-15 million new illegal aliens, mostly young men of military age, from virtually every country across the globe. Biden upped the national debt to over $36 trillion, with annual interest payments on this debt exceeding $1 trillion, more than we spend on defense. Crime is out of control, as exemplified by a New York City subway rider being set on fire and a flight attendant getting her throat sli...

Joondeph: Will Jan. 20 be another Independence Day, restoring freedom and liberty?

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, Rasmussen Reports Independence Day, celebrated on July 4 of every year, is a national holiday commemorating the ratification of the Declaration of Independence, which established the United States of America, gaining freedom from British subjugation and tyranny. A song of the same name was named Country Music Song of the Year in the mid-1990s, performed by Martina McBride, celebrating an abused woman’s freedom from a brutal husband. Will January 20 be yet another Independence Day for freedom-seeking Americans against an abusive and tyrannical federal government? Joondeph: When did changing weather become climate change?

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, American Thinker It’s sunny and unseasonably warm where I am today, but a week ago, it was snowy and unseasonably cold. A climate warrior might label the former as global warming, the latter as global cooling, or the composite as climate change. A rational person would call it weather. Joondeph: Who the hell is running the country?

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, American Thinker In name, Joe Biden is America’s 46th president. His “signature” is on official documents. He is photographed periodically, whether in the Oval Office, wandering in foreign lands or inappropriately sniffing or nibbling young children. But he is the president in name only.Is Joe Biden even real? As this tweet illustrates, his height varies. In one photo, Donald Trump and Barack Obama are the same height. In another, Obama is taller than Biden, and in another photo, Biden is taller than Trump. Like an Escher print, this optical illusion begs the question of whether there is more than one “Joe Biden.” READ THE FULL COMMENTARY AT AMERICAN THINKER Editor’s note: Opinions expressed in commentary pieces are thos...

Joondeph: Biden leaving a steaming pile of Syria under Trump’s Christmas tree

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | American Thinker President Joe Biden is often unaware of his surroundings or behavior, but he surely knows that Christmas is almost here. Playing Santa Claus, he is handing out gifts — pardons to existing and as-yet-unprosecuted criminals and members of Congress and special gifts to those succeeding him in the White House, particularly President-elect Donald Trump.Concerning Biden’s cognition, we are now learning that the White House was fully aware of his mental decline since before he took office and concealed this information from the public, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. Joondeph: Trump is flushing the expert class down the toilet

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, American Thinker President-elect Donald Trump is taking a media break from being called a fascist or Nazi to the latest criticism of filling his cabinet positions with those not deemed to be “experts” by the self-proclaimed “expert class” of government. Who defines “expert”? Simple: those deemed experts by the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, or administrative class embeds. In other words, it is a circle-jerk of self-professed experts insisting they are the only true experts. Confirmation bias anyone? Reuters bemoans Trump’s approach of going outside the “expert class”, who have gotten so much wrong over the years, instead favoring those with practical experience. “U.S. President-elect Donald Trump chose loyalists with little e...

Dr. Joondeph: Presidential polling postmortem winners and losers

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, American Thinker Election 2024 is in the rearview mirror. Pollsters won’t be bombarding voters anymore. Today’s entertainment is liberal heads exploding on social media or the latest Democrat threatening - but not actually following through on - everything from drinking cyanide to setting themselves on fire to leaving the country if Donald Trump won the election. So far, few have followed through on their promises, although a handful have left the country. Good riddance to them. Trump did win, bigly, in a landslide of sorts. He won the Electoral College handily, 312 to 226. Trump also won the popular vote, 49.9% to 48.3%. As a divided country, the popular vote will always be close. Thus, in 1980, w...
