Trump agreeable to meet Harris in debates on ABC, NBC, Fox in September, Trump announces

By Brett Samuels and Dominick Mastrangelo | The Hill Former President Trump during a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort Thursday said he had agreed to three separate debates on three different networks against his new opponent, Vice President Harris. Trump scheduled the press conference as his campaign seeks to make Harris’s access to the media a campaign issue. Trump had previously said he would not take part in a scheduled debate on ABC that was initially set on Sept. 10 between him and President Biden. But ABC in a statement during Trump’s press conference said both he and Harris had agreed to a debate on Sept. 10. The former president on Thursday also said he had proposed debates with Fox News on Sept. 4 and NBC on Sept. 25. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE HI...

Trump, Harris ramp up ground games in battle for swing states

By Susan Ferrechio | The Washington Times The Trump and Harris campaigns are spending millions of dollars on dueling get-out-the-vote efforts in seven swing states that are most likely to determine the November election. The Harris team recently bragged it has built a huge ground-game advantage in the toss-up states, but the Trump campaign denies it. “That is absolutely false,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said. Harris campaign aides, most of whom come from the now-defunct reelection campaign for President Biden, said they’ve established far more offices and hired many more staffers than Mr. Trump’s team in the critical battleground states including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada. Rep. Boebert: ‘It’s now truly MAGA vs. Marxism’ in presidential race

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice The result of Kamala Harris selecting Tim Walz as her running mate is a drifting of the Democratic Party further left, Rep. Lauren Boebert said Tuesday in a series of posts on Twitter/X. "It’s now truly MAGA vs Marxism," she tweeted in one post. "I know what side I’m on!" Boebert defeated a dozen opponents in her 4th District Republican Party primary election for U.S. representative, positioning as the most conservative choice in the final field of six, which she defeated across the board by about 30%. She held the endorsement of Donald J. Trump. She never shied from her conservative positions. She doesn't on Twitter/X, either. "It’s pretty obvious that the Democrat[ic] Party has now fully morphed into the Hamas Party," she wrote. "The pic...

‘First time’ Secret Service snipers were deployed to protect Trump in 2024 was at Butler rally, director says

By Jack Phillips | The Epoch Times The first time that the U.S. Secret Service deployed snipers for the Trump campaign in 2024 was at the July 13 Pennsylvania rally where former President Donald Trump was shot in the ear, the acting director of the agency confirmed. “It was the first time Secret Service counter snipers were deployed to support the former President’s detail,” acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe said at a news conference on Aug. 2, responding to a question about whether snipers were deployed for the Trump campaign in 2024. The agency had “evaluated a threat stream … and we put our Secret Service counter-sniper personnel out there,” he said. “And looking back, it was very fortunate that we did.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE EPOCH TIMES

Who is Harris’ VP candidate Tim Walz? A far Left radical, Trump campaign says

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Where does the selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as vice president place a possible Kamala Harris-Walz presidential administration on the political spectrum? It cements it as a far Left, radical ticket, the most radical in the country's history, several sources in the Donald J. Trump presidential campaign said Tuesday. "From proposing his own carbon-free agenda, to suggesting stricter emission standards for gas-powered cars, and embracing policies to allow convicted felons to vote, Walz is obsessed with spreading California’s dangerously liberal agenda far and wide," Karoline Leavitt, the Trump-Vance campaign press secretary, wrote in a statement. Walz is soft on crime and "loves" China, opposition research by the Republican Party indic...

Sold out: Trump will visit Aspen for fundraiser and you most likely can’t get a ticket

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Editor's note: This story was edited at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, to reflect new information correcting prior erroneous information concerning the Colorado GOP's relation to the Trump 47 Committee. The hardest ticket to get in Colorado this week -- and the most expensive -- will be a seat to be in attendance when former President Donald Trump returns to Colorado. He will address a crowd Saturday in Aspen, making his first campaign appearance since 2020, when he stumped for former U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner. A seat at the dinner for a couple will cost $25,000, while host levels for a couple cost $100,000 and $500,000. But, the invite on the Trump 47 Committee page indicates the event is sold out. The invite did not list a time or location f...

HBCU activist praises ‘Big T’ Donald Trump for ‘saving my college’ at Atlanta rally

By Fox News, via New York Post A Georgia activist stole the show after being introduced by former President Trump at his rally in Atlanta Saturday. Trump invited Michaelah Montgomery up on stage toward the end of his speech at the Georgia State University Convocation Center. He introduced Montgomery by explaining he met her at a restaurant this year. Trump said Montgomery, who attended Clark Atlanta University, had recognized him in public and commended him for funding historically Black colleges and universities. “She looks at me, says ‘It’s President Trump. You saved my college.’ And I said, ‘How the hell do you know that?’ … This one is so smart, so sharp,” Trump recalled. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Kamala Harris ‘a bad vice president’ and ‘a worse president’: J.D. Vance defines his messaging role in race

By Jared Mitovich | Politico J.D. Vance has been trying out different responses to the wave of scrutiny he’s faced since becoming Donald Trump’s running mate. Now, he’s downplaying his own relevance to the election entirely. “My attitude is, it doesn’t really matter, as much as this hits my ego,” Vance said in an interview on the “FULL SEND PODCAST” released Friday. “People are going to vote primarily for Donald Trump or for Kamala Harris. That’s the way these things go. I think my job over the next few months is to just drive home the message that Kamala Harris has been a bad vice president, and she’d be a worse president.” READ THE FULL STORY AT POLITICO

Secret Service leader grilled by GOP over lack of firings for Trump security failures

By Rebecca Beitsch  | The Hill Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe defended the agency’s failure to fire any of the agents involved in the planning and response to the assassination attempt of former President Trump, saying he did not want to “rush to judgment.” Numerous lawmakers questioned why no agents had been removed from their posts during testy exchanges with the acting director. In one clash during aggressive questioning by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Rowe said he “could not tip the scales” and said “we need to allow the investigation to play out.”  READ THE FULL STORY AT THE HILL
