‘Putting down a rabid dog’: Stefanik demands N.Y. official resign over Trump shooting remark

By Elizabeth Elkind  | Fox News House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., is demanding that a local elected official in her district resign after reportedly comparing former President Trump to a "rabid dog" after he was shot. Christine Paige, a member of the Potsdam Town Council, has faced bipartisan backlash over her comments, which were first reported last month by local media. "Far Left Democrats supporting political violence and the assassination of President Trump are shameful and do not deserve to represent the great people of the North Country," Stefanik told Fox News Digital. FBI engaged in ‘major-league cover-up’ of Trump assassination attempt, Judicial Watch says

By Joseph M. Hanneman | TheBlaze.com The FBI and the Biden-Harris administration are engaged in a “major-league cover-up on the near-assassination of former President Trump,” Judicial Watch Inc. asserted Aug. 12. The accusation came after the FBI denied Judicial Watch's request for records on the July 13 Pennsylvania rally at which Donald J. Trump was shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks. Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the FBI on July 26, seeking documents, emails, presentations, and other data regarding the FBI’s coordination with the U.S. Secret Service in preparation for the July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, at which Trump was shot in the ear. The request covered the time period from June 15 to present. READ THE FULL STORY AT THEBLAZE.COM

Google execs pressed to testify after admitting Trump assassination attempt search omissions were by design

By Julia Johnson  | Fox Business Google admitted that autocomplete search results regarding the assassination attempt against former President Trump last month were prohibited by design and part of the company's policy for "hypothetical political violence against current figures." FOX Business reported exclusively in July that Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., was launching an investigation into Google after its autocomplete search results did not register the assassination attempt against Trump on July 13, which was dominating the news. He questioned the company in a letter over the search function, asking about its algorithm and what decisions were made in the aftermath of the attack on Trump.  In its response to the senator, Google Vice President of Government Affairs...

In response to likely anti-gun Harris presidency and shooting of Trump, firearm sales jump

By Paul Bedard | Washington Examiner, via Colorado Politics Gun sales turned up for the first time in nearly a year after last month’s assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and promises of firearm bans from Vice President Kamala Harris following her anointment as the Democratic presidential nominee. While still high historically, sales month over month had slowed until the shooting and elevation of Harris, who selected liberal gun-grabber Tim Walz, the Minnesota governor, as her running mate on Tuesday. Gun sellers told Secrets that the combo has led to a sales spike and raised fears among owners. “Business picked up a few percentage points at the end of July into early August, and I think we can thank Kamala Harris and the Democrat Par...

Trump to sue DOJ for $100M over Mar-a-Lago ‘unconstitutional’ raid, alleging ‘political persecution’

By Brooke Singman , Lydia Hu | Fox News Former President Donald Trump is set to sue the Justice Department for $100 million in damages over the government’s unprecedented 2022 raid on his Mar-a-Lago property in Palm Beach, Florida, with lawyers arguing it was done with "clear intent to engage in political persecution." Fox News has obtained Trump’s memo claiming "tortious conduct by the United States against President Trump."  Trump and his legal team intend to sue the Justice Department for its conduct during the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago on Aug. 8, 2022, amid the federal investigation into his alleged improper retention of classified records.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

Copy cat Kamala: Harris ‘copies’ Trump’s no tax on tips policy at rally in hospitality-heavy Nevada

By Mark A. Kellner, Katherine Donlevy and Deirdre Bardolf | New York Post Vice President Kamala Harris rolled out a promise to stomp out taxes on tips during a campaign stop in Las Vegas Saturday — prompting former President Donald Trump to rip her for “copying” one of his signature proposals. Though she spent a significant portion of her talk ripping Trump, the Democratic presidential nominee regurgitated one of his signature ideas at the top of her stump speech at the battleground state. “It is my promise to everyone here, when I am President, we will continue our fight for working families of America, including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” Harris told the crowd to a roar of applause. Aspen was abuzz for Donald Trump’s visit to attend private fundraiser

By Nate Belt | Fox 31 News Donald Trump made an unlikely visit to the Colorado mountains on Saturday, looking to raise money for his re-election campaign. Aspen resident Michael Quintanilla wasn’t sure exactly what was keeping him from getting to work on Saturday afternoon. “I was stuck in traffic and then I just see police cars and stuff,” he said. He took out his phone to start recording when he figured it out. READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX 31 NEWS

Videos show police at Trump rally airing frustration with Secret Service

By Jack Gillum, James V. Grimaldi, James Fanelli and C. Ryan Barber | The Wall Street Journal, via MSN.com Local Pennsylvania police complained in the moments after last month’s attempted assassination of Donald Trump that they warned the U.S. Secret Service days in advance that the warehouse where the shooter was positioned needed protection, according to new videos obtained by The Wall Street Journal. “I f—ing told them that they needed to post guys f—ing over here…I told them that f—ing Tuesday,” said a Butler Township officer in audio captured on his body-worn camera. “I talked to the Secret Service guys. They’re like, ‘Yeah, no problem. We’re going to post guys over here.’” The footage paints a more complete picture of the anger and frustration on July 13 moments after Thomas...

Cook Report moves three swing states away from Trump, makes them ‘toss-ups’

By Ryan King | The New York Post The Cook Political Report moved Arizona, Georgia and Nevada away from former President Donald Trump, switching them from “Lean Republican” to “toss-ups” as Vice President Kamala Harris enjoys a polling bump. Last month, the election handicapper shifted those three states toward Trump in the aftermath of President Biden’s brutal debate performance, but now the election dynamic has seemingly reset with Harris at the helm of the Democratic ticket. “Three weeks ago, Donald Trump was leading President Joe Biden in the Cook Political Report national vote tracker by about 2.5%. Today, Kamala Harris leads Trump by less than one point, a shift of more than three points in Harris’ direction,” Cook Political Report’s editor-in-chief Amy Walter explained....

By Seth McLaughlin | The Washington Times The Trump faithful at a recent campaign rally pored over red MAGA hats and T-shirts with the former president’s mug shot, but one image has emerged as the must-have of the 2024 campaign: the clenched fist. The photo of a bloodied but unbowed Donald Trump with a raised fist and an American flag waving in the background has been emblazoned on clothing, flags, coffee mugs and just about anything else that will take an image. The Republican nominee’s backers are eager for it all. READ THE FIULL STORY AT THE WASHINGTON TIMES
