House panel shares dueling findings in COVID report

By Vinay Simlot | Fox31 News Republicans and Democrats on the House subcommittee exploring the coronavirus pandemic released dueling reports. Republicans attacked the NIH Director and Dr. Anthony Fauci for mandates and social distancing. Democrats say the Trump administration’s response “led to the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19 in nursing homes,” their report said. “We are leaving with different impressions of what we did or did not find,” said Rep. Rand Paul to target ‘COVID cover-up’ as head of Senate Homeland Security committee

By Rikki Schlott | New York Post Sen. Rand Paul will take over the chairmanship of the upper chamber’s Homeland Security Committee starting in January after two years as the panel’s top Republican — and he’s told The Post he wants to uncover the truth about the COVID-19 pandemic. “I chose to chair this committee over another because I believe that, for the health of our republic, Congress must stand up once again for its constitutional role,” Paul (R-Ky.) said in an exclusive interview Wednesday. “This committee’s mission of oversight and investigations is critical to Congress reasserting itself.” “I think we’re on the cusp of, really, the beginning of uncovering what happened with COVID,” the 61-year-old added. The time crunch arose from shifting guidance from federal officials on how they define “obligated,” a term that doesn’t exist in state law. Federal law has long required ARPA recipients to “obligate” all of their funding by th...

Rand Paul claims Fauci ‘should be in prison’ over COVID ‘dishonesty’

By Emily Jacobs, Washington Examiner | SOURCE: The Gazette Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said on Sunday that Dr. Anthony Fauci “should go to prison” for his “dishonesty” regarding how he handled the COVID-19 pandemic as the nation’s chief medical adviser.  Paul, a former ophthalmologist, made the comments in an appearance on WABC 770 AM’s The Cats Roundtable while rehashing his differences with Fauci on the pandemic’s origins and the latter’s transparency with Congress.  “For his dishonesty, frankly, he should go to prison. Do you think the scientific knowledge that was gained from this research was worth the deaths of 20 million people?” Paul told host John Catsimatidis of Fauci. “If you lie to Congress, and you’re dishonest, and you won’t accept  ...
