As the next leader of that party, my commitment to help elect Republican candidates is not an empty promise and I wanted to outline our plan, our commitment to candidates, with you. Brita Horn announces she will seek chair of Colorado Republican Party

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Brita Horn, a former Routt County treasurer, a fire chief and grassroots and civic leader, has announced her candidacy for chair of the Colorado Republican Party. “This is about the future,” Horn said in a campaign press release. She noted a desire to lead the party with “three key priorities: relationships, resources and responsibility." She will focus on victories at the ballot box in 2026, the release reads. By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice BRIGHTON -- If the Central Committee were to clean house at Colorado Republican Party headquarters and remove all state officers, as has been proposed by a faction of the committee, who might assume leadership? A non-meeting "rally" at Faith Fellowship Church here on Saturday, July 27, may have begun to answer that question. In fact, a couple committee members in attendance proposed they had found all three officers -- those candidates to become chairman who stayed to participate in an impromptu question-and-answer session.
