By Neil Munro | Breitbart President Donald Trump’s deputies have reformed the Democrats’ 2008 “Unaccompanied Alien Children” (UAC) program to shrink migrant smuggling by labor traffickers and by illegal migrant parents. “This is another big win,” said the Immigration Accountability Project. “It would mean fewer children handed over to sex or labor traffickers.” But Democrat-affiliated pro-migration groups lament the reforms, which will require government officials to verify the legal or illegal status of people who volunteer to “sponsor” the many youth migrants who are welcomed across the border and housed in government-funded hostels. By Neil Munro | Breitbart Border hawk Thomas Homan is getting a prize border security job in the new administration, incoming President Donald Trump said in a message via his Truth Social media network. Homan is an experienced border officer who served as acting chief of the vital Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency in 2017 and 2018. The agency is responsible for finding, arresting, and deporting illegal migrants. Homan strongly supported Trump during the 2024 election. However, the statement did not say Homan would be nominated to run the Department of Homeland Security or the ICE agency. A heavily tattooed female Tren de Aragua gang member is accused of running a sex-trafficking operation out of a border town hotel that the gang took over, according to a leaked Border Patrol memo obtained by The Post.
