Biden releases 11 Guantanamo detainees captured after 9/11 to Oman for ‘resettlement’

By The Post Millennial On Monday, the White House announced the transfer of 11 Yemeni detainees, including two former bodyguards for Osama bin Laden, being held at the US naval base in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba to Oman, which has agreed to help re-settle them, despite the US currently battling Houthi terrorists in Yemin. The move is the latest attempt by the Biden administration to reduce the population at the military facility. The terrorists were captured following the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks but were held for over twenty years without being charged or put on trial. The Department of Defense said in a statement, "The Department of Defense announced today the resettlement of 11 Yemeni detainees from the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay to the Government...

Biden dons ‘Trump 2024’ hat during 9/11 Pennsylvania visit

By Emily Hallas | Washington Examiner Some Pennsylvania firefighters’ days took an unexpected turn as they watched President Joe Biden don a ‘Trump 2024″ hat. After laying a wreath at the 9/11 Flight 93 National Memorial near Shanksville on Wednesday, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris visited the local fire department. As first responders looked on, Biden grabbed a Trump 2024 hat as he grinned widely.  A White House spokesman explained the president’s surprising act as a “bipartisan” gesture meant to show the country’s “unity” after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City 23 years ago.  READ THE FULL STORY AT THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER

Firefighters who responded on 9/11 escort piece of twin towers to new Fort Collins memorial

By Dillon Thomas | CBS Colorado A piece of American history has been permanently installed in Fort Collins, as Poudre Fire Station #3 cemented a piece of the twin towers into the park behind their fire station. The piece of the twin towers was officially unveiled at a ceremony in Fort Collins on Monday afternoon. The piece of steel, which stands several feet tall, serves as a reminder to the Northern Colorado community of what the U.S. has been through, and the sacrifices many paid for freedom. "We just don't want people to forget," said Jim Durkin, a former firefighter who responded to ground zero. Durkin, Jim Salisbury and Lin Lindholm are just three of the many now-retired Poudre Fire employees who helped dig for survivors in 2001. The same group of men were those who helped...

NYC firefighters forced to remove flag for 9/11 heroes after leftwing questioning, but backlash saves day

By Nick Arama | Red State We've seen a lot of bad stories this weekend that seem to have a common theme: people on the left seem on the march to try to stomp on everything that they don't like or find problematic, including things like the White House forbidding religious displays on an Easter egg design contest and proclaiming Easter Sunday "Transgender Visibility Day."  Now comes another story that's also a sign of leftists seemingly trying to stomp on something incredibly important.  Apparently, someone complained about a flag that firefighters had on one of their trucks at Ladder Company 11 in the East Village. The company had a flag with a red line in it honoring six of their brethren who were killed on 9/11 as they bravely tried to save people.  READ THE FULL STORY A...
