Derrick is founder of American Conservatives of Color, Rocky Mountain Black Conservatives (www.blackandconservative.com) and the People of Color Capitol Interns program (www.poccinterns.com.) His organization’s and personal mission are to bridge the gap that has traditionally existed between conservative political causes, parties, elected officials and candidates for office and ethnic-minority voters.
