Some of the most senior officials in the federal justice agencies are preparing for potential prosecution during the upcoming Trump administration. According to NBC News, after Trump's victory over Harris, some long-time and senior-level staff at the DOJ as well as the FBI are nervous that Trump appointments such as Gaetz at the DOJ could go after them legally. Despite this, DoD officials say they have "turned a corner" on the spending. The audit itself cost the government $178 million. Circuit Judge Elizabeth Branch wrote in an opinion  for the court that on February 11, 2021, the Project Veritas account on then-Twitter was suspended.
