MAGA baby savings accounts part of pro-family ‘one, big, beautiful bill’

By Libby Emmons | The Post Millennial The Trump administration's One, Big, Beautiful Bill currently making its way through Congress is being touted as pro-family legislation by the White House, in no small part because of the provision for MAGA baby savings account. This allows families to take a tax deduction in order to use that money to set up savings accounts for their babies. The report from the New York Times cited four anonymous people with knowledge of the chat. Lawmakers pitch new insurance fee for wildlife and bike lanes, rural Coloradans cry foul

By Ali Longwell | The Post Independent Colorado lawmakers are looking to add a fee to car insurance policies that would raise funds for road infrastructure aimed at reducing vehicle collisions with wildlife, pedestrians and cyclists.  The idea is being floated as part of a bill co-sponsored by Reps. Andrew Boesenecker, a Larimer County Democrat, and Meghan Lukens, a Steamboat Springs Democrat, and Sens. Faith Winter, a Front Range Democrat, and Dylan Roberts, a Frisco Democrat.  “This bill creates a sustainable solution to a serious public safety problem,” Lukens said. “This bill will save lives, prevent injuries, reduce insurance costs, and protect the wildlife that defines our state. Federal agency kills Colorado wolf connected to sheep deaths in Wyoming 

By Ali Longwell | The Post Independent One of the male wolves that Colorado Parks and Wildlife relocated from British Columbia to Colorado in January has died.  The state wildlife agency confirmed on Thursday that it received a mortality alert for the wolf (2505-BC) on Sunday, March 16. The wolf was in north-central Wyoming at the time.  The wolf was killed following the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s investigation and response to a sheep predation event on private land in north-central Wyoming, according to Tanya Espinosa, a spokesperson for the federal agency.  READ THE FULL STORY AT THE POST INDEPENDENT
