Trump and Macron plan to share ‘burden of securing the peace’ in Ukraine

By Elizabeth Troutman Mitchell  | Daily Signal French President Emmanuel Macron agrees that Europe must join the United States in bearing the “cost and burden of securing the peace” between Russia and Ukraine, President Donald Trump said Monday. Macron and Trump met on the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which Trump said “would never have happened if I was president” in February 2022. “Europe must take that central role in assuring the long-term security of Ukraine, which they want to do,” Trump said. “And that’s not a very big step. In 2021, Erin Lee’s 12-year-old daughter was invited by her art teacher to come to art club after school in the Poudre School District in Fort Collins, Colorado. Little did Lee know, it was a Gay Straight Awareness club where a guest speaker told her daughter if she’s “not 100% comfortable in her female body, she’s transgender.” The 12-year-old girl, who was new to the middle school, then adopted a transgender identity and was affirmed by the art club. The guest speaker, Kimberly Chambers, director of SPLASH Youth, an LGBT g...

Los Angeles fire budget cut, hundreds of hydrants stolen for scrap before fires

By Kenneth Schrupp  | The Center Sqaure via The Daily Signal Hundreds of fire hydrants were stolen from the ground for scrap metal in advance of the blazes raging across Los Angeles, highlighting the local government’s challenges in maintaining basic order and infrastructure.  “These fire hydrant thefts are yet another sign of how crime is out of control in Los Angeles County,” said Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman to The Center Square before his November election. “Thieves know they’ll face little or no consequences if they are caught, so they’re willing to risk the public’s safety for a small profit.” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who has been away on a taxpayer-funded trip to Africa as a member of a Biden administration delegation, rec...

Kaminsky: Obama’s ‘censorship’ office goes bankrupt and is closing up shop
