Trump shows ‘leftist ideologues’ entrenched in military academies the exit

By Wallace White | Daily Caller President Donald Trump announced he was firing the board of visitors of all U.S. military academies on Monday in his continued crusade against “leftist ideologues” in the military. Trump cleaned out the board of visitors for the U.S. military academies, such as West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, Coast Guard Academy and Air Force Academy effective Monday, according to an announcement on Truth Social. Trump campaigned in the 2024 election on reducing so-called “woke” politics in the military, saying he would create a task force specifically to root out diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). “Our Service Academies have been infiltrated by Woke Leftist Ideologues over the last four years. I have ordered the immediate dismissal of the Board of Visitors ...

Trump revokes security clearances, denies access to federal buildings to slew of former, current officials

By John Oyewale | Daily Caller President Donald Trump has ordered that some former and current federal and state officials lose their security clearance and access to federal buildings, the New York Post reported Saturday. Former Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg are three of the eight officials who are expected to be affected, according to the outlet. The revocations come just a day after Trump revoked the security clearance of his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, and ended Biden’s daily intelligence briefings, citing reciprocity and cognitive decline. Blinken spearheaded the Oct. 20, 2020 missive signed by 51 former intelligence officials that implied that the news story of a laptop bel...

By Robert McGreevy | Daily Caller U.S. government agencies have dropped a staggering $34 million in contracts with Virginia-based news outlet Politico, mostly on subscriptions, according to data from USASpending.gov. The payments vary in size and scope and come from virtually every government agency. The Department of the Interior‘s (DOI) National Park Service awarded a contract worth $862,025 over a period between 2021 and 2025 for subscriptions to Politico’s Energy and Environment (E&E) News service. USAID wasted billions of tax dollars on programs that actively harmed Americans

By Wallace White | Daily Caller While Democrats and corporate media outlets rail against President Donald Trump’s freeze on foreign aid, they fail to mention that Washington bureaucrats have poured billions into programs abroad that yield questionable value to American taxpayers. The New York Times, CNN, NPR and other liberal outlets have painted Trump’s day one executive order halting most foreign aid grants for 90 days as an effort to leave the world out to dry, with lawmakers such as Democratic New York Sen. Chuck Schumer and Democratic Delaware Sen. Chris Coons joining the chorus of condemnation against the loss of taxpayer funding for multi-billion dollar humanitarian programs. The new Trump administration’s goal of reducing gove...

Trump to send thousands of migrants to Gitmo after Biden considered doing exactly the same thing

By Jason Hopkins | Daily Caller President Donald Trump ordered his administration to send tens of thousands of illegal migrants to Guantanamo Bay to help aid in his large-scale detention and deportation operation. For more than two decades, the Cuba-based Guantanamo Bay Naval Base has been used to hold suspected terrorists. While speaking at a ceremony for the signing of the Laken Riley Act, the president revealed that he would also be ordering the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Defense (DoD) to construct a facility at the base to hold as many as 30,000 illegal migrants in an area distinct from where suspected terrorists are currently detained. This is not the first time the U.S. has utilized Guantanamo Bay for migrant detention. The Clinton administra...

Trump birthright citizenship order leaves loophole allowing ‘birth tourism’ method used by Chinese nationals

By Katelynn Richardson | Daily Caller One loophole in President Donald Trump’s executive order banning birthright citizenship could permit Chinese nationals, along with other non-citizens, to continue obtaining U.S. citizenship for their children. The order’s language leaves room for the growing international surrogacy industry — which allows intended parents from across the word to hire an American woman to carry their child to term — to continue operating as the newest means of “birth tourism.” According to the most recent data from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), foreign nationals went through 4,713 “gestational carrier cycles” — or attempts to implant an embryo — in 2020, up from 2,758 in 2014. Chinese nationals make up the highest percentage of users, a...

DOJ pledges to end ‘weaponization’ of FACE act, drop three ongoing cases

By Robert McGreevy | Daily Caller The Department of Justice (DOJ) pledged to end the federal government’s weaponization of the law, instructing the Civil Rights Division to dismiss with prejudice three FACE Act cases that targeted pro-life protesters, according to a memorandum obtained by the Daily Caller. The DOJ under former President Joe Biden used the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act to prosecute a relatively large number of pro-life protesters. The 1994 law prohibits “violent, threatening, damaging, and obstructive conduct intended to injure, intimidate, or interfere with the right to seek, obtain or provide reproductive health services.” The majority of the pro-life protesters Biden’s DOJ prosecuted under the FACE Act were nonviolent. “Even though more than 1...
