At the British Library on Friday, May 10, the women used a hammer and chisel to pound at the glass. However, the pair caused only minor damage to the case and the historic document was untouched. The women pounded the glass in the name of fighting climate change. They belong to the group called Just Stop Oil — a group looking to end the world’s reliance on fossil fuels. The women, Rev. Charges dropped against 211 migrants who stormed border, DA appeals

By Karah Rucker , Ben Ray  | Straight Arrow News More than 200 migrants who broke open a fence and pushed past Texas border officials will not be facing charges in El Paso County, Texas. A judge dismissed their case on Wednesday, May 8. Video captured by the New York Post showed the incident on March 21. Migrants were seen breaking through a metal fence with razor wire and pushing passed Texas officials at the border. Some National Guard troops were injured as migrants rushed them. 211 migrants faced rioting charges over the incident, but an El Paso County judge dismissed all of the charges. Rasmussen: With growing ideological divide, 41% of Americans say second civil war possible in 5 years

A large percentage of Americans said they believe that it is not only possible but imminent. Of registered voters polled, 41% said they believed it’s likely America will see another civil war within the next five years. On the other hand, 49% do not believe a civil war will happen within the next five years and 10% were not sure. Of those who believe a civil war is likely, 37% said a civil war is most likely to happen if Biden is reelected. Meanwhile, 25% believe it’s more likely if Trump gets a second term. GOP bill would force immigrants reported to ICE if they illegally try to buy guns

By Lauren Taylor | Straight Arrow News Republican senators have introduced a bill that would alert immigration authorities when an immigrant in the U.S. illegally attempts to purchase a gun. Undocumented immigrants are barred from buying guns in the U.S., however, the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is not required to alert U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or local law enforcement if a firearm applicant is in America illegally. The Illegal Alien NICS Alert Act, authored by Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and co-sponsored by Sens. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., John Boozman, R-Ark, and Thom Tillis, R-N.C., would change the system.
