Hundreds of people who live near the airport are so fed up with noise from planes and other issues that they’re suing Jefferson County, which owns and operates the airport. The lawsuit represents more than 400 people who live in the Rock Creek neighborhood, which is in Superior and just northwest of the airport. By Dallas Heltzell | BizWest WELD COUNTY — The Denver Zoo will expand its operations onto the Lembke Family Preserve, a donated 570-acre tract east of Greeley in Weld County, the zoo announced Thursday. Conversations between the family and the zoo began about 18 months ago, said Bob Lembke, president of United Water and Sanitation District and a Weld County ranch owner. “I’ve always been a big fan of the zoo and came to the conclusion that this made sense,” Lembke told BizWest. “I signed the documents for the donation last December.” The gift was made, he said, because “Denver Zoo has been part of our family tradition since the late 1950s. String of arson attacks terrorizing community in Colorado

By Spencer McKee | Source: The Denver Gazette A neighborhood in the northern Colorado city of Fort Collins is being terrorized by a series of reported arson attacks, which have damaged a home, decorative items, a vehicle, and more. According to a report from the Coloradoan, cases of arson first started being reported in the area of TimberVine neighborhood and the Collins Aire Mobile Home Park in October and in November, with additional cases popping up near the beginning of January. Instances have included vehicles being lit on fire, damage to landscaping, and flags being burnt, numbering at least four cases this month.
