Supreme Court unanimously upholds forced sale of TikTok from Chinese parent company

By Josh Christenson | The New York Post The US Supreme Court unanimously upheld a law Friday that would force TikTok’s sale from a Chinese state-owned firm, even as President Biden and President-elect Donald Trump have sought to block the divestment. The nine justices ordered the qualified divestment by Jan. 19 of the California-based social media platform from Beijing-based ByteDance. “There is no doubt that, for more than 170 million Americans, TikTok offers a distinctive and expansive outlet for expression, means of engagement, and source of community,” read the key portion of the unsigned opinion. Goodwin: Perpetual screwup Joe Biden spins and stumbles on his way out of the White House

By Michael Goodwin | Commentary, New York Post In his last week in office, Joe Biden is making a farewell tour of speeches to try to put a shine on his legacy.  It would be a tall order in any event, but because the president is a perpetual screwup, his effort is going off the rails.  Instead of polishing his record, he’s inadvertently highlighting what a total failure he’s been and why voters were right to elect Donald Trump.  Even as Biden paints himself as a big success, a Gallup survey captures the truth: Large majorities say America has gone backward in key areas during his watch. Carrie Underwood to perform ‘America the Beautiful’ at Donald Trump’s inauguration

By Eric Todisco | New York Post Carrie Underwood will perform at Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration next week, a source confirms to The Post. Underwood, 41, said in a statement to The Post, “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.” On Monday, political reporter Matthew Foldi shared a picture on X of the program for the inauguration, revealing that Underwood will sing “America the Beautiful” on Jan. 20 at the US Capitol. Map reveals house-by-house devastation of deadly LA fires with entire neighborhoods nearly wiped out

By Patrick Reilly | New York Post Shocking new maps show the utter destruction wrought by the deadly Palisades and Eaton fires in Los Angeles, offering a house-by-house view of impacted neighborhoods – some of which were nearly leveled completely. The two largest wildfires in the L.A. area have destroyed more than 12,000 structures and killed at least 24 people — and are expected to grow again this week as strong winds fuel the flames. An aerial view of the areas devastated by the Palisades Fire, which has torched over 23,000 acres and killed at least eight people since Tuesday, shows entire neighborhoods in some of City of Angel’s most exclusive zip codes burned to the ground near the Pacific Ocean. Trump warns Hamas ‘all hell will break out’ if it doesn’t release hostages before he takes office

By Ryan King | New York Post President-elect Donald Trump starkly warned Hamas to release the remaining hostages before Inauguration Day or else “all hell will break out,” without elaborating on a specific response. Hamas is currently believed to have 101 hostages, including seven Americans, at least three of whom are thought to be dead, and Trump has long threatened repercussions for the terror group if it fails to release them. “It will not be good for Hamas, and it will not be good, frankly, for anyone,” Trump, 78, warned during a press conference in Mar-a-Lago Tuesday. Trump confirms he’s sending son Don Jr. to help ‘MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!’

By Patrick Reilly | New York Post President-elect Donald Trump confirmed he is sending eldest son Don Jr. to Greenland as part of his efforts to make it part of the US — despite repeated denials it is for sale. Trump confirmed the fact-finding trip while sharing video of a Greenlander putting on a red Make America Great Again hat and asking the incoming US president to “buy us.” “I am hearing that the people of Greenland are ‘MAGA,’” Trump posted on his Truth Social late Monday. Biden honors Dem donor George Soros, Hillary Clinton with Presidential Medal of Freedom, sparking outrage

By Jon Levine and Victor Nava | New York Post President Biden bestowed woke Democratic megadonor George Soros with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Saturday — outraging critics  who ripped the selection as a “national disgrace.” Soros, 94, was among the 19 people chosen to receive the nation’s highest civilian honor at the White House, a group that included U2 frontman Bono, actor Denzel Washington and  former senator Hillary Clinton — who also was panned as a recipient. “George Soros spent millions electing soft-on-crime politicians that let criminals wreak havoc in our major cities,” Montana Senator Tim Sheehy told The Post. “Hillary Clinton abandoned our Navy SEALs in Libya.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Murray: From college campuses to Afghanistan, we let Islamic terrorism rise again

By Douglas Murray | Commentary, New York Post Let’s all give a big shout-out to the “Globalize the intifada” crowd. You got your way! Congratulations. Hope it feels good. For years, citizens of Israel have had maniac jihadists driving at them and trying to mow them down on their streets. But this got only cheers from the dolts on US college campuses and New York street protesters. Then, just before Christmas, Germany again got a taste of this “intifada.” That was when a Saudi immigrant decided to plow a vehicle through a previously happy Christmas market. He killed five people and injured almost 200. CBS News journalist slams media, says most underreported 2024 story was Biden’s ‘obvious cognitive decline’

By David Propper | New York Post Veteran CBS News reporter Jan Crawford dinged news organizations for not thoroughly covering President Biden’s “obvious cognitive decline” this year until it became unavoidable during his disastrous debate against Donald Trump over the summer. Crawford, the network’s chief legal correspondent, insisted stronger reporting on the topic could have changed the entire election as she responded to a question from “Face the Nation” moderator Major Garrett about the most underreported story in 2024. “Undercovered and underreported, that would be, to me, Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate,” she said on the Sunday morning show.
