Kamala Harris’ economic plan: $1.7T in handouts, fed ban on grocery store ‘price gouging’

By Diana Glebova, Josh Christenson and Victoria Churchill | The New York Post Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday unveiled the economic policies she would enact in her first 100 days in office — and it comes with a whopping estimated $1.7 trillion in handouts, as well as government price controls on groceries amid ravaging Biden-Harris administration inflation. Her economic plan includes measures to dole out $25,000 to help first-time homeowners with their down payments and give up to a $6,000 tax breaks for lower and middle-income families who have a child in their first year of life. Harris did not say what incomes qualify as “lower” and “middle.” The housing subsidies alone are “absolutely inflationary” and would “push a $2 trillion dollar deficit even higher,” Bri...

Fake news: Kamala Harris’ campaign writes their own headlines on Google search ‘news’ ads, report says

By Katherine Donlevy | New York Post Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign team has been quietly editing news headlines in Google search ads to make it seem like major news outlets are on her side, according to a report. The altered headlines — appearing on Google ads and paired with a “Paid for by Harris for President” banner — were changed without the news outlets’ knowledge, Axios reported Tuesday. Nearly a dozen publishers were swept up in the faux headline campaign, including major companies like the Guardian, Reuters, CBS News, the Associated Press and PBS. Copy cat Kamala: Harris ‘copies’ Trump’s no tax on tips policy at rally in hospitality-heavy Nevada

By Mark A. Kellner, Katherine Donlevy and Deirdre Bardolf | New York Post Vice President Kamala Harris rolled out a promise to stomp out taxes on tips during a campaign stop in Las Vegas Saturday — prompting former President Donald Trump to rip her for “copying” one of his signature proposals. Though she spent a significant portion of her talk ripping Trump, the Democratic presidential nominee regurgitated one of his signature ideas at the top of her stump speech at the battleground state. “It is my promise to everyone here, when I am President, we will continue our fight for working families of America, including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” Harris told the crowd to a roar of applause. Cook Report moves three swing states away from Trump, makes them ‘toss-ups’

By Ryan King | The New York Post The Cook Political Report moved Arizona, Georgia and Nevada away from former President Donald Trump, switching them from “Lean Republican” to “toss-ups” as Vice President Kamala Harris enjoys a polling bump. Last month, the election handicapper shifted those three states toward Trump in the aftermath of President Biden’s brutal debate performance, but now the election dynamic has seemingly reset with Harris at the helm of the Democratic ticket. “Three weeks ago, Donald Trump was leading President Joe Biden in the Cook Political Report national vote tracker by about 2.5%. Today, Kamala Harris leads Trump by less than one point, a shift of more than three points in Harris’ direction,” Cook Political Report’s editor-in-chief Amy Walter explained....

HBCU activist praises ‘Big T’ Donald Trump for ‘saving my college’ at Atlanta rally

By Fox News, via New York Post A Georgia activist stole the show after being introduced by former President Trump at his rally in Atlanta Saturday. Trump invited Michaelah Montgomery up on stage toward the end of his speech at the Georgia State University Convocation Center. He introduced Montgomery by explaining he met her at a restaurant this year. Trump said Montgomery, who attended Clark Atlanta University, had recognized him in public and commended him for funding historically Black colleges and universities. “She looks at me, says ‘It’s President Trump. You saved my college.’ And I said, ‘How the hell do you know that?’ … This one is so smart, so sharp,” Trump recalled. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

With long history of pushing DEI, woke initiatives, what policies would Kamala Harris pursue as President?

By Jon Levine | New York Post Vice President Harris has cheered Diversity Equity and Inclusion and array of woke social-justice initiatives throughout her political career — raising new questions about the domestic policies she would pursue should she be elected president, critics told The Post. The daughter of radical Marxist economist Donald Harris has never hidden her own left-wing ideology. Just days before the 2020 election, she re-upped her DEI chops, sharing an X post of a video explaining the difference between “equality and equity” — and why the latter, guaranteeing equal outcomes, was superior. The video shows black and white mountain climbers struggling up a mountain until the ground under the black climber magically rises higher. READ THE FULL STORY A...

Suspect wielding knives shot dead ‘in the back’ by cops near RNC: sources, witnesses say

By Amy Sikma , Katherine Donlevy and Caitlin Doornbos | New York Post A knife-wielding homeless man who allegedly “heard voices” was shot dead outside the Republican National Convention Tuesday. A witness at the scene told The Post that the man was swinging two steak knives at police near the GOP event’s headquarters — just two hours before the nation’s leading party members were slated to take the stage. Witnesses reported watching the victim run away from security when he was fatally “shot in the back.” At least eight gunshots were heard. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Whistleblower: FBI abuses security clearance to ‘purge’ conservatives, views them as ‘unworthy’ of employing

By Josh Christenson | New York Post The FBI is abusing its security clearance process to “purge” political conservatives from the bureau, according to recent whistleblower disclosures reviewed by The Post. The federal law enforcement agency’s Security Division has been suspending or revoking clearances for employees whose political affiliation or COVID-19 vaccination status are suspect, a supervisory special agent who formerly worked in the division alleges. The unnamed agent, who is described as “a registered Democrat” and is represented by the nonprofit Empower Oversight, further claims that high-ranking officials in the division believed “if an FBI employee fit a certain profile as a political conservative, they were viewed as security concerns and unworthy ...

Trump trial: Defense slams Cohen as ‘greatest liar of all time’ in closing arguments, protesters scuffle outside

By Ben Kochman , Kyle Schnitzer , Max Rivera and Kaydi Pelletier | New York Post Closing arguments are underway in Donald Trump’s criminal trial over his alleged “hush-money” payments to Stormy Daniels. Meanwhile, outside the courthouse actor Robert De Niro and retired Capitol police officers slammed Trump during a Biden campaign presser. Trump’s team took the mic with a rebuttal at the same spot right after. Presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records related to a $130,000 payment that his former “fixer” lawyer, Michael Cohen, made to the porn star ahead of the 2016 election. Sen. Menendez’s cluttered home loaded with $150K in gold bars, $480K in cash — some stashed in a boot

By Priscilla DeGregory and Ben Kochman | The New York Post It’s a “boot-load” of cash. New photos shown at Sen. Bob Menendez’s federal bribery trial reveal over $600,000 in cash and gold bars stashed around his cluttered New Jersey home — including a stack of bills stuffed inside a Timberland boot. Jurors at the Menendez trial, which began last week in Manhattan federal court, were shown dozens of photos taken inside the Garden State Democrat’s Englewood Cliffs house during a June 2022 raid by the FBI. The pictures, presented in court Thursday, show gold bars small and large, some appearing to be older with nicks and scratches on the surface while others are wrapped in clear plastic packaging.
